Wednesday Happy Hour: Happy Pets for Conversation

After you see Working Dogs for Conservation at work, bring your pets to our happy hour to show us YOUR animal's favorite tricks!

Unfortunately, we can’t gather in person for the 2021 NAISMA Annual Conference. But we CAN share some experiences that include all five senses! Tuesday at 5:15 MT and Wednesday at 4:15 MT  sign in to Zoom via Attendify for some slightly-organized-but-also-organic hangout time with your fellow conference attendees.

Happy Hour: Happy Pets for Conversation — a Show-and-Tell Featuring Your Pets!

Wednesday, September 29 at 4:15 p.m. MT

Today some of us will have met and learned about the amazing work of Working Dogs for Conservation, and during this session they will be streaming a “Dog Cam” for our entertainment and delight.

WD4C trains a pretty special pack of animals, no doubt — but does all this talk of talented dogs make you think of your own pet?

Whether they’re working or lazy, your dogs, cats, herps, fish and birds are all invited to this happy hour. We’ll show them off and learn more about each other in the process. This will be hosted by NAISMA’s new Development Director David Diaz (how’s that for alliteration), whose soft heart for animals has brought him through years of experience raising money for animal causes. He has a sweet pup named Chunky, who’s as cute as he sounds.

Very different from the daily conference sessions, this social hour is your chance to meet a few new people in the invasive species community by having a shared experience and leaving with some warm fuzzies for the NAISMA community.

Don’t have a pet? You’re still welcome, just as long as you don’t mind some fur and feathers on camera from the rest of us.
