Join the Movement: PlayCleanGo® Awareness Week 2024

Are you ready to make a difference in the fight against invasive species while enjoying the great outdoors? Get ready to join the movement during PlayCleanGo® Awareness Week 2024, taking place from June 1-8 across North America. Hosted by the North American Invasive Species Management Association (NAISMA), this annual event aims to empower outdoor enthusiasts with the knowledge and tools to Stop Invasive Species In Your Tracks™.

In 2023, NAISMA hosted its fifth annual PlayCleanGo® Awareness Week, reaching over 1 million individuals with the PlayCleanGo® message. This impactful campaign showcased the importance of responsible recreation and provided practical tips for preventing the spread of invasive species.

This year, we invite you to partner with us in engaging the recreationist community through a variety of initiatives:

  1. Host Events: Organize PlayCleanGo® Awareness Week events in your community, such as educational workshops, trail clean-ups, and invasive species identification hikes. Add your events to our calendar to maximize visibility and participation.
  2. Spread the Word: Utilize social media channels, videos, and local media outlets to amplify the PlayCleanGo® message. Use the hashtags #PlayCleanGoWeek and #PlayCleanGo to connect with like-minded individuals and encourage outdoor enthusiasts to demonstrate how they “PlayCleanGo®.”
  3. Explore Sponsorship Opportunities: Learn more about sponsorship opportunities and support the PlayCleanGo® Awareness Week campaign. Your contribution will help us develop and distribute free materials to empower individuals to Stop Invasive Species In Your Tracks™.

Dozens of free materials are available on our website to help you spread the word and educate others about invasive species prevention. From brochures and posters to social media graphics and educational resources, we’ve got everything you need to make a difference.

Together, let’s show the world the power of collective action in protecting our natural landscapes from the threat of invasive species. Join us for PlayCleanGo® Awareness Week 2024 and help us Stop Invasive Species In Your Tracks™!
