Executive Director
Christie serves as the Executive Director of the North American Invasive Species Management Association (NAISMA). With over 25 years of experience in the conservation sector, Christie brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic vision to her leadership role. As Executive Director, she oversees the development and implementation of innovative policies and programs that address invasive species management across North America. Her leadership is characterized by a commitment to fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including land and water resource managers, agency directors, and nonprofit organizations. Christie’s expertise and dedication ensure that NAISMA remains at the forefront of invasive species management efforts, actively empowering endeavors across the continent.

Education and Prevention Manager
Teagan manages our education and prevention programs, including providing opportunities for professional development and tools for education and outreach through our PlayCleanGo campaign. Teagan has over a decade of experience working on invasive species prevention, outreach, and management in Washington State. She has a strong interest in data visualization and community-based social marketing and likes to look for new ways to make information more accessible and engaging to different audiences. Teagan grew up in Australia and currently lives on an island in Washington with her husband.

Membership and Marketing Manager
Originally from a rural community in South Georgia, Kimberly is a marketing consultant with 20 years of digital marketing experience. She is a nationally published photographer with MarTech experience in both nonprofit and for-profit sectors. With a background in Cognitive Psychology and a love of nature stewardship, Kimberly currently lives in Illinois with her husband and two sons. She’s a self-proclaimed data nerd who enjoys silversmithing, crocheting, and teaching.
NAISMA Staff Contractor: Membership and Marketing

Jodi is NAISMA’s Program Assistant. She supports multiple programs, mainly supporting NAISMA’s Weed Free Products Program and Biocontrol Committee. Jodi is passionate about making a difference and supporting our NAISMA community. She comes from a background in Administrative Support with knowledge of creating and managing policies and procedures, managing multiple businesses at once, and being a force for growth.
Jodi joins NAISMA from her midwest home in Wisconsin. She enjoys watching her boys play sports and in her free time, she loves to spend time on the lake with her husband and two boys.
NAISMA Staff: Program Assistant

Mara manages NAISMA’s government relations program, including strategic communications, legislative tracking, and organizational planning. A native Washingtonian, Mara brings expertise in federal consulting on renewable energy system overhauls, as well as Congressional legislative experience as a Fellow on environment and agriculture portfolios. She holds a Master of Public Policy with concentrations in environmental policy and inequality and social policy from UC San Diego, and worked in municipal, county, and regional capacities as a graduate student. A self-described political nerd, Mara is passionate about contemporary environmental challenges from a policy and governance perspective. She now resides in Southern Maryland around the Chesapeake Bay and enjoys trail running with her dog, riding her horse, and serving as a commissioner on her county’s Environmental Commission.
