The bipartisan Congressional Invasive Species Caucus was founded in July 2013 to raise awareness, support effective policy solutions, and strengthen federal, state, and local responses to the growing threat of invasive species in America. By serving as a hub for education, collaboration, and legislative advocacy, the caucus plays a critical role in protecting native biodiversity, safeguarding food systems, and ensuring the resilience of America’s natural resources.

NAISMA works with the caucus by offering technical input on management strategies from leading professionals in the industry, and providing a bridge to effective advocacy for our membership. This unique relationship provides a platform for NAISMA and its members to guide sound legislative initiatives, and to bring together a variety of knowledgeable voices in the field.
