2022 Year In Review
In 2022, the North American Invasive Species Management Association (NAISMA) experienced exponential growth in membership, outreach, and impact. NAISMA added five new board members and created two new committees (Board Development Committee and Finance and Audit Committee). We launched InvasivesU, an asynchronous learning library for professional development. We reached over 500,000 through National Invasive Species Awareness Week (NISAW) and engaged over 750,000 people through our PlayCleanGo campaign. We look forward to the continued growth of NAISMA with our updated strategic plan and vision for the future!
These strategic goals were developed by the Board of Directors and staff.
Fundraising: Spent 2021 introducing fundraising and development. Reached a Silver-Star GuideStar rating.

New Webinar Area
To better serve members, staff spent weeks developing a new members-only webinar area to better give members access to our entire archive of video content.“NAISMA is a North American leader in connecting and empowering invasive species managers and practitioners with conservation efforts, networks, and resources. Together, we are truly a bigger and more effective community, working to better protect our natural and cultural resources. The Certified Weed Free Products program is the only program in North America that provides land managers with assurance that noxious weeds will not be spread through the movement of forage, hay, mulch, or gravel brought in to the property. Weed Free Products maintains a list of standards, provides guidelines, and ensures uniform training and participation.
