2022 Year In Review

In 2022, the North American Invasive Species Management Association (NAISMA) experienced exponential growth in membership, outreach, and impact. NAISMA added five new board members and created two new committees (Board Development Committee and Finance and Audit Committee). We launched InvasivesU, an asynchronous learning library for professional development. We reached over 500,000 through National Invasive Species Awareness Week (NISAW) and engaged over 750,000 people through our PlayCleanGo campaign. We look forward to the continued growth of NAISMA with our updated strategic plan and vision for the future!

These strategic goals were developed by the Board of Directors and staff.

The Certified Weed Free Products program is the only program in North America that provides land managers with assurance that noxious weeds will not be spread through the movement of forage, hay, mulch, or gravel brought in to the property. Weed Free Products maintains a list of standards, provides guidelines, and ensures uniform training and participation.

Building on expansion work in 2020, NAISMA welcomed Alberta to its Certified Weed Free Forage program.
